The idea of single tracks was born in Coed-y-Brenin, Wales, in 1995, where Dafydd Davis began to create a place to ride mountain bikes.
The place gradually grew and gained popularity. Mountain cycling enthusiasts who did not reflect stereotypes at all started to come there. They were not riders looking for adrenaline nor were they professionals. Most of the users of the trails enjoyed the surrounding nature and would ride a mountain bike only a few times a month. Everyone agreed: we will come back to Coed-y-Brenin because there are natural, narrow and winding paths that are fun to ride.
Building a route in harmony with nature and without tree felling – properly built trails keep the water in the ground, which is indispensable for plants to live. Routes and trails built according to the right technology guarantee their durability for many years, which also reduces their operating costs.
